The Curriculum and Instruction Department helps teachers implement the Academic Content Standards, Benchmarks, Grade Level Indicators, and Career/Technical Standards adopted by the State of Ohio.
Areas of curriculum & instruction continue to be revised in our building each year. The Curriculum & Instruction Department along with Warren County Career Center teachers are developing instructional units and lessons consistent with the State of Ohio Academic Content Standards. Additionally, all textbooks are screened and aligned with the Academic Content Standards and/or Career/Technical Standards and approved by the Board of Education in support of our five-year cycle.
We also offer Dual Enrollment classes to our students.
Warren County Career Center offers students the opportunity to begin post-secondary education through multiple agreements with local colleges and universities prior to high school graduation. The dual enrollment means that students may take selected high school courses at WCCC and earn credit toward high school graduation as well as, simultaneously, earn college credit. Students participating in a dual enrollment course are enrolled in a course which satisfies both high school and college requirements. This program was developed to allow students to begin working on their college degree earlier in their academic careers and thus complete their degree in a shorter period of time.
