Students will spend 12 hours per week for six weeks at four internship locations. The students' internship sites will be determined based on their individual areas of career interest. Students attend academic classes at their home high schools in the morning and then travel to the Career Center for class or to an internship site in the afternoon.
Each student will complete four internship experiences and will receive three elective credits upon completion of the program. To gain acceptance into the program each student must complete an interview process. To qualify for the interview process, students must have achieved the following: Senior status, pass all parts of the Ohio Graduation Test, 90% or better attendance average, 2.5 or better grade point average, two letters of recommendation, no credit deficiencies.
Students will need reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to successfully complete the program.

Students will complete four six-week internship experiences. These internship experiences are based on the career interests of each individual student. As part of the classroom experience supporting the four internships, each student will complete a portfolio. Portfolios can be valuable in the college application process, job application process, and in job interviews. During classroom instruction, students will cover a variety of topics, listed above.
