Advisory Committee
The Warren County Vocational School District works closely with the business and industrial community it is designed to serve.
Career technical education has goals that involve preparation for the world of work; the practice of turning to advisory committees of lay citizens for assistance in the educational program is an integral part of our work.
Advisory Committees are organized for each career technical program area (i.e. Auto Technology, Carpentry, Information Technology, etc.). A District Business Advisory Committee is also utilized with representatives from throughout the county.
Membership on each advisory committee consists of five to eleven persons. Each advisory committee elects its own chairman and recorder and is responsible for setting its own meeting calendar. Members shall be appointed for one- to three-year terms. Committee membership will be reviewed and updated on an annual basis. Academic staff members and administrators serve as ex-officio members.
The function of the advisory committees is advisory. The members contribute their expertise and help instructors with curriculum and textbook review, equipment recommendations, internship and placement sites as well as trends within specific careers fields. Members also frequently serve as guest speakers and identify industry visits that would have value for our students.
If you wish to be involved at Warren County Career Center, please contact us! Call Peg Allen at 513-932-5677 ext. 5204 or email
