• 18 – 21 years old
• Willing to accept diploma at end of program
• Strong desire to work in the community
• Willing to access independent transportation options
• Has met all academic requirements for graduation
• Has basic communication skills
• Has appropriate social, grooming, and hygiene skills
• Able to take care of all personal needs
• Can pass a drug screen and background check after acceptance
• Must have TB testing after acceptance (for Otterbein site)
   

• Candidate may be referred by current HS intervention specialist, program instructor, and/or transition coordinator
• Candidate may also learn of program through other sources
• Candidate completes application
• Applications are reviewed by the selection committee
• After application are reviewed, all candidates will be contacted to participate in an interview
• Candidate enrolls with Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD)- this may be done prior to applying to program and must be done prior to acceptance
• Upon acceptance, the candidate will complete necessary background checks and TB testing on-site at Warren County Career Center, Otterbein Senior Life and the Warren County Government Campus
   

All interns must apply and be accepted into the Project SEARCH program. Due of the nature of the program, there are a limited number of spots. The application for the 2024-2025 school year is now open. All applications are due by Friday, March 2024. 

We have programs at two sites within our community. We will work with our interns to be sure they are placed in the program that best suits their needs and best aligns with their goals for the future.
