WCCC's Adult Education Career-Technical Education (CTE) programs helps adults achieve their educational and career goals.

As a CTE student you have the opportunity to participate in hands-on training in your chosen pathway taught by seasoned professionals in the field. WCCC's outstanding Adult Technical Training Division is fully accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE) and operates as a University System of Ohio educational provider through the Ohio Department of Higher Education.

Cyber & Networking Programs

About the Cyber and Networking Program

The Cybersecurity and Networking program allows you to earn certificates that will open doors for a career in Information Technology. WCCC Adult Education Information Technology courses include hands-on lab time that will provide the opportunity to prove and demonstrate the skills gained before taking the related certification exam. Each individual certification class takes between 52 and 56 hours to complete.

About the Cosmetology Program

Unleash your creativity and help clients look and feel their best. From hairstyling and makeup artistry to skin care and nail care, our Cosmetology program will help you develop your skills and learn the latest trends and techniques. Whether you choose to work in a salon, spa, or even as a freelancer, being a cosmetologist allows you to make a positive impact on others while expressing your artistic flair.

Our comprehensive 1,500-Hour Adult Education Cosmetology Program will help you gain invaluable real-world practice and the necessary skills and knowledge for a successful career in cosmetology. You'll experience a perfect blend of theory classes, hands-on lab experiences, and externships in a local salon, spa, or commercial setting.

Electrical Power Line Mechanic Program

About Electrical Power Line Mechanic Program

Electrical Power Line Mechanics, or lineworkers, build and maintain the nation’s electric grid. In addition, lineworkers hold a critical position as one of the first responders after accidents or storms disrupt the electrical grid.

Our Electrical Power Line Mechanic pre-apprenticeship program gives you a competitive edge when applying for high-paying jobs in the electric utility and telecommunications industries.

At 900 hours in length, this program has you work ready in approximately nine months. Our Electrical Power Line Mechanic program is offered on two convenient campuses. Day and evening schedules are available.

Advanced Manufacturing Technology

The Advanced Manufacturing Technology 900 hour program prepares students for entry-level employment in high-demand technical occupations found in advanced manufacturing. As a student, you'll learn a variety of skills needed in the manufacturing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex automation equipment and components used in energy processing, consumer product manufacturing, and the construction of high-tech machinery and durable goods.

Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning

The Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) 600 hour program prepares students for entry-level employment in high-demand technical occupations involving the installation and the repair of climate control equipment. Students learn a variety of skills needed to work as a service or installation technician in the HVAC, commercial, manufacturing, and service areas.

The Maintenance Repairer, Building 290-hour program prepares students for entry-level employment in technical fields that require hands-on skills in building and property maintenance. The program provides competency-based and hands-on classroom and laboratory instruction in work-related technical skills.

Welding Technician/AWS Certified

The Welding Technician/AWS Certified Program prepares students for entry-level employment in high-demand welding and fabrication occupations found in the advanced manufacturing, energy processing, and fabrication industries. Welding disciplines are taught and reinforced using a largely hands-on approach to skill development. Students earn multiple certifications in this program that are nationally recognized and required by many employers in the industry.

Dental Assisting

In about 5 months, WCCC's Dental Assisting program will prepare you for a great career with the potential for growth and advancement in this in-demand technical field. This 433-hour hands-on program will prepare you for high-demand technical occupations in the Dental field.

Medical Assistant

WCCC's Medical Assistant 475-hour program will prepare you to perform administrative and clinical procedures in ambulatory settings such as physician's offices and clinics, hospitals, insurance billing agencies, laboratories and emergency rooms. Curriculum units include (but are not limited to) pharmacology, clinical procedures, anatomy and physiology, medical math, medical coding, medical ethics, and much more.

Pharmacy Technician

WCCC's Pharmacy Technician 602-hour program will prepare you for high-demand technical occupations in the Pharmacy field. Pharmacy Technicians assist licensed pharmacists to provide medication and other health care products to patients and perform routine administrative tasks. Through the nationally recognized Pharmacy Technician training program, students are given the skills and knowledge to enable them to qualify for entry-level positions in pharmacies.

Phlebotomy Technician

WCCC's Phlebotomy Technology 170-hour program provides students with a working knowledge of collecting blood while emphasizing patient safety, quality assurance, and universal and standard precautions. This program prepares you to work in diverse health care settings and with all levels of health care professionals, from the physician to support staff.

State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)

The State Tested Nursing Assistant program prepares students with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care for the elderly and seriously ill patients in nursing homes, hospitals and home care settings. Successful completion of this program qualifies you to sit for the state certification written and skills exam.

In-person Option

This course is located at the WCCC Atrium Campus. This 76-hour in-person program will prepare you for high-demand technical occupations in Healthcare.

In-Person Option - State Tested Nursing Assistant

Hybrid Option

The 82-hour hybrid STNA program includes 40 hours of online, asynchronous learning, 40 hours of in person skills/lab hours, and 16 hours of supervised clinical experience. 100% attendance is required.

Aspire Programs

Aspire provides free instructional services to adults who have a variety of educational needs. We can help you prepare and earn your GED®, HiSET® or Adult Diploma. We also provide literacy improvement to help you transition into new employment or college. If you're looking to improve your English, we're here for that as well with our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) programs.
