From hairstyling and makeup artistry to skin care and nail care, our Cosmetology program will help you develop your skills and learn the latest trends and techniques. Whether you choose to work in a salon, spa, or even as a freelancer, being a cosmetologist allows you to make a positive impact on others while expressing your artistic flair.
Our comprehensive 1,500-Hour Adult Education Cosmetology Program will help you gain invaluable real-world practice and the necessary skills and knowledge for a successful career in cosmetology. You'll experience a perfect blend of theory classes and hands-on lab experiences in a full-function salon.
Your journey will cover a wide range of essential skills, with a strong emphasis on the art of hairstyling. From learning the latest haircutting and styling techniques to mastering color applications, you'll be equipped with the knowledge to create stunning transformations. You will work with manikins, live models, and individual clients, allowing you to refine your techniques and build confidence in your abilities.
Additionally, you will be trained in facial treatments, manicures, and pedicures, ensuring that you can offer a comprehensive beauty experience to your future clients.
To further enhance your learning experience, you will have the opportunity to complete an externship in a local salon, spa, or commercial setting. This hands-on experience will allow you to earn up to 300 hours, refine your skills and gain real work experience professionally, preparing you for success in the industry.
Upon completing the program, you will take the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology License exam, opening doors to official certification. After becoming a licensed Cosmetologist, you’ll be living your dream and helping others feel more beautiful and confident each and every day.

Adult Education Cosmetology Program Details
This program takes approximately 13 months to complete, with classes held Monday through Thursday, 10 am - 5:30 pm.
