Maintenance Repairer

Maintenance Repairers, also referred to as Facilities Maintenance Techs are skilled professionals responsible for ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of various physical spaces, such as buildings, offices, or facilities. This role involves performing routine inspections, repairs, and upkeep tasks to ensure safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. From fixing electrical and plumbing issues to maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, their expertise contributes to creating a comfortable and well-maintained environment for occupants. 

Our Maintenance Repairer program will get you job ready for this highly in demand role! Numerous skills are developed and reinforced in the areas of Safety, Hand and Power Tools, Building Materials, Construction drawings, Pest Prevention, HVAC, Hydraulic, Electrical Safety, Residential Electrical Services, Exterior Finishing, Weatherization and Plumbing.

The program provides competency-based classroom and laboratory instruction in work-related technical skills. Instructor-led instruction utilizes occupation-specific tools and equipment, text materials, multimedia, and internet sources. 

This 290-hour program will prepare you for high-demand technical occupations in Facilities Maintenance.

  • WCCC Certificate of Completion
  • OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Certification
  • American Heart First Aid/CPR Certification

If the training is delivered as an employers apprenticeship program student will also earn:

  • State of Ohio Maintenance Repairer, Building Technician Certificate

Program Details

This program takes approximately nine months to complete, with evening classes two times per week.
