Senior Only Programs

Our Senior Only programs provide extra opportunities for students who want to explore trade options during their senior year of high school. The programs below are designed as single semester programs, and students will still complete any academic course requirements they have at their home school. Each of these offerings begin in January.

Healthcare Exploration


Students can earn a 12-point certification and be ready to work in health settings or nursing homes immediately. They will also be prepared to enter college nursing and medical programs. After completing the program requirements, students will test for their credentials on our campus. Students will have the opportunity to earn multiple certifications and credentials, including First Aid and CPR certification, Stop the Bleed certification, Medical Terminology college credit, and a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate. This program is housed on our Atrium Campus and runs from 11:30 AM - 2:07 PM.

EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)

 

Our EMT program offers high school seniors the chance to earn multiple certifications. This Adult Education program, similar to college CCP courses, provides a fast track to be a certified EMT. Students who successfully complete EMT are eligible and encouraged to apply to earn their Fire 2 certifications in the summer as part of WCCC's Adult Education Fire Program. This program runs at our Main Campus and is available for morning or afternoon time slots. The morning class runs from 8:00 AM to 10:22 AM, and the afternoon class runs from 11:49 AM- 2:07 PM.

Welding

Students can earn their OSHA 10 Certification, MIG Welding Certification, and complete Blueprint Reading while getting hands-on experience in the lab. This welding course prepares students interested in a career in welding for entry-level welding positions and gives them basic welding skills. This program is housed at Main Campus and runs from 11:49 AM-2:07 PM.
