Congressman Greg Landsman Visits WCCC

Warren County Career Center welcomed U.S. Congressman Greg Landsman on Monday for a tour highlighting the opportunities available to students through career-technical education.

During his visit, Congressman Landsman stepped into several of the school’s career technical programs. In the Heavy Equipment Lab, he experienced hands-on training by operating machinery alongside students. He then spent time with the Fire Science program, where he spoke with students about their passion for public service and learned how to put on gear before watching the students practice a scramble drill. In the Engineering and Robotics program, the congressman learned how students are preparing for futures in the fast-growing manufacturing and technology industries.

Superintendent Joel King shared his gratitude for the visit, saying, “We really enjoyed the visit from Congressman Greg Landsman today and appreciate his support and what he's doing to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to take part in career tech education.”

Warren County Career Center continues to partner with local, state, and national leaders to expand opportunities for students to gain skills that prepare them for high-demand careers.
