Julianna Thomas Honored as Teacher of the Year

Julianna Thomas Honored as Teacher of the Year

Julianna Thomas, a Project Lead the Way teacher for Warren County Career Center at Little Miami High School, has been named the Project Excellence Teacher of the Year for Warren County Career Center. As a WCCC satellite instructor, Thomas has built a reputation for going above and beyond to create meaningful STEM learning experiences for her students. Whether it’s organizing field trips to NASA or guiding hands-on engineering challenges, she’s passionate about helping students discover their potential through real-world problem-solving. Thomas’ program recently received recognition from PLTW as a 2024-25 Distinguished School, which recognizes schools across the U.S. for their efforts to provide broad access to transformative learning experiences for students through PLTW programs.

Thomas is also a champion for inclusion in STEM. She played a key role in founding Little Miami’s all-girls robotics team and actively encourages collaboration across the high school by welcoming outside projects her students can assist with. Humble in her recognition, Thomas shared, “I would like to thank the people that took their time to nominate me, my WCCC and LMHS people, especially Molly, Robin and Justine, my awesome students that make me look good, and my husband.” Her impact reaches far beyond the classroom, inspiring the next generation of innovators and leaders. Congratulations Mrs. Thomas!
