Warren County Career Center Adult Advanced Manufacturing Coordinator Dave Guinn and Instructor Steve Abner are working toward offering more certification training for students in career areas that are in-demand in the job market.

“We are constantly talking to area manufacturing employers and looking at trends to be able to prepare our students for good careers that are hiring now,” Mr. Guinn said. “Our mission is to supply a skilled workforce for our region to benefit the economy and improve our students’ ability to provide for themselves and their families.”

They completed the Manufacturers Skills Standards Council (MSSC) "Certified Production Technician Instructor Training" and the "Certified Logistics Technician Instructor Training." These are both International Certifications recognized by the Manufacturing and Logistics Industry. With this certification, WCCC Adult Education will be able to develop and offer certification programs in both Advanced Manufacturing Production and Logistics.

Both are presently taking the "Certified Forklift Instructor Training" and when it is available they will take the "Certified Automation Technician Instructor Training" through MSSC as well.
