Cybersecurity Teams Place in CyberPatriot Competition

WCCC Cybersecurity juniors and seniors competed recently in the Air Force Association CyberPatriot competition among 5,300 teams nationwide. The senior team Cyber Rock Stars placed 1st in the Gold Tier of the Ohio Cyberpatriot competition and will be moving on to the National Semi-Finals! Congrats to Ainsley Cutshall, Waynesville; Olivia Siegmann, Lebanon; Wyatt Goode, Little Miami; Keith Mounce, Lebanon; Jeremy Dunn, Franklin; Trey Chambers, Lebanon; and Donivan Ellis, Lebanon.

The other senior team, Cyber Dudes, qualified to compete in the most advanced division, Platinum Tier, and placed 5th in Ohio! Congrats to Kaleb Derouen, Springboro; Brayden Goodyk, Springboro; John Yates, Springboro; Tim Williams, Springboro; Mason Dawson, Springboro; Conner Nichols, Waynesville and Austin Denney, Lebanon.

Junior team, Cyber Gamers, qualified for the Gold Tier in competition, but did not place. We are proud of their efforts, as the Gold Tier is a challenging category! We expect to see them excel in next year’s competition. Congratulations to Charlie Sunnycalb, Kings; Makayla Parson, Kings; Ian Williams, Little Miami; Jack Zolnier, Little Miami; Matt Alexander, Clinton-Massie; Aiden Gruss, Springboro.
