One of last year’s WCCC Student Ambassadors, Marical Ryan, Criminal Justice Class of 2013, served not only as a school ambassador, but also was a national officer in SkillsUSA, one of several Career-Technical Student Organizations in which WCCC students participate. Marical rose to a leadership role at WCCC that has benefited her as she has moved on into adulthood.
“Right after graduation I moved to Texas,” she said. “Here I became a certified security guard and am working for Professional Security Consultants. I have only been working for this company for about a month and already I am up for the corporal position. My time at the career center has really helped me for this job. I use all the things that I learned there on a day-to-day basis. I am so very happy about going to the career center. I will be headed to Collin County Community College in the winter to study criminal justice. From there I will apply to Dallas Police department to become a ‘pre hire’ and go through academy.”
Congratulations Marical, we are proud of you!
