12th Annual WCCC Foundation Golf Outing has Record Numbers

The WCCC Education Foundation Golf Outing, held June 7 at Heatherwoode Golf Club, had the highest attendance ever this year with 33 teams registered. The event raised $17,580 for student scholarships, with some of that carried over from the canceled 2020 outing. All enjoyed the day, despite a few rain showers that didn’t dampen any spirits. The First Place Team was Chris Miller, Kyle McConnaughey, Ron Rudduck, and Kyle Rudduck. Second Place Team was Brodi Conover, Jeremy Bolling, Brent Centers, and Robby Wilson. Closest to the Pin – Women was Liz Fugate, and Closest to the Pin – Men was Mike Ratliff. Longest Drive – Women was Bev Keene, and Longest Drive – Men was Kyle Rudduck.

For 2021, two WCCC Education Foundation $750 scholarships were given to high school seniors Tyler Conte, Springboro, Automotive Technology; and Truly Isaacs, Waynesville, Pre-Nursing. The foundation also paid nearly $26,000 in senior student fees.

Adult student Regan Hounshell, Cosmetology, earned the Adult Student Spring 2021 $750 scholarship. One more Adult Student $750 scholarship will be granted in the fall.

WCCC Education Foundation 2021 Jump Start Scholarships totaling $5,000 were granted to adult students Regan Hounshell, Cosmetology, $250; Cody Craig, Pharmacy Technician, $1,000; Jasmine Weaks, Cosmetology, $300; Chloe Bailey, Dental Assisting, $300; Joseph Strickland, Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), $300; David Alfaro, CCNA, $300; Seth Fields, CCNA, $750; Paterick Inseho, CCNA, $300; Erin Kelly, CCNA, $300; Ned Crooks, CCNA, $300; Brady Jones, Welding AWS Certified, $300; Madelyn Yoon, Welding AWS Certified, $300; Spencer Briley, Welding AWS Certified, $300.
