Social Media Guidelines

All Warren County Career Center social media accounts, those representing the district and those created for individual programs, are used to support the mission and vision of our school district to share news and information about the district.  By using or accessing Warren County Career Center social media, you agree to comply with each individual platform’s Terms and Conditions. WCCC administrators will delete any content that is a violation of these terms or is contrary to Governing Board policies which support our institutional values. In accordance with Governing Board Policies, including PO 7554, District-approved social media sites shall not contain content that is obscene; is vulgar and lewd such that it undermines the school's basic educational mission; is libelous or defamatory; constitutes hate speech; promotes illegal drug use; is aimed at inciting an individual to engage in unlawful acts or to cause a substantial disruption or material interference with District operations; or interferes with the rights of others.  The District may exercise editorial control over the style and content of student speech on District-approved social media, if reasonably related to legitimate pedagogical concerns.  Staff or students who post prohibited content shall be subject to appropriate disciplinary action.. The Governing Board reserves the right to block individuals who do not adhere to these Terms and Conditions from posting on WCCC social media. Individuals who believe that they were unjustly blocked from use of a District site may submit a written request to Nick DeSanctis, Coordinator of Marketing & Communications, to regain access. By accessing, affiliating with or commenting on WCCC social media, your identity may be visible to third parties not affiliated with the Warren County Career Center. In addition, third parties may be able to access your profile and personal information. The Warren County Career Center is not responsible for access to your identity, profile or personal information by third parties. It is the express responsibility of the user, or his/her parent or guardian, to protect the user’s identity, profile and personal information.
